Pink for October.

I saw this on Paula at Bassett Knitter's blog and since it's near and dear to my heart I wanted to join in. My mother Carmen passed away from breast cancer on January 8th, 1987. For those of you who don't know my birthday date, I was 6 years old. I was very young and remember little about her but I have four lovely sister's who fill in some of the info I don't remember. My sister's are older than me and have helped me in lots of ways and when I needed a mom. Please go check out the site.

I'm off to bed. Patiently waiting for my ravelry invite(less than 2000 to go) and getting NO knitting done.

  1. Thanks for the dishcloth suggestion on the Football-Along site :)
This could make a nice wash cloth, and you could give it with a self exam shower card...like this one

I guess you would need a little lamination though :)

  3. What a fab idea...My oldest sister was diagnosed 14 years ago and she is still going strong today! Go Pink!

I also lost another sister to cancer when I was 9 years old. It was and is very hard. I am so sorry about your mom and hope that you get checked every year.
