Birthday girl and her new Frozen bike

This past Saturday we celebrated my big girl turning 4 with family and friends.  It was of course Frozen themed and we all had a blast!!  I thought I would take more pictures but honestly I was too distracted and had a bad blogger moment and forgot to take pics for the blog.  I also don't like to post picture of other people's kids on my blog so you'll have to do with this cute picture of the birthday girl with her new bike!

This awesome Frozen bike was sent to us by Kohl's as part of their #FrozenFunAtKohls promotion!  I had not realized until they contacted me how much Frozen stuff they were carrying.  I have to admit I fell down a rabbit hole when I started looking at the items and trying to select which one I wanted.  Click here to check out all their Frozen merchandise.  There are so many things I knew my girls would love but when I saw the bike it was just too perfect. 

Carmen was so excited about her new bike. It's a great next bike for her and one that she will be able to grow with for a bit. My husband put it together easily and it was all set and ready to go on her birthday.  The cute little pouch on the front is perfect for her to put her doll of choice for the trip or to pick up little treasures on the way.  Thank you again Kohl's!

The helmet was a separate gift from her grandpa to go with her new bike.  This girl is now set for some serious bike rides!

Happy 4th Birthday to my big girl!

My big girl turns 4 today!  This precious blessing made us parents 4 years ago today at 6:36 in the afternoon.  So glad she chose us to be her parents!!   Her birthday party is this weekend so I'll share more about it after it happens.

Weekend Love: Birthday Party!

Carmen's birthday weekend was a huge success!!  We got a good nap and the party went really smoothly!  I'm happy that all went well!  Thanks again for all those that came and helped celebrate my baby girl turning 2!!  Now for some pictures since that's the best way to show off the birthday fun!

Her party was a Tinkerbell party!  We bought all the decorations since honestly this year I have not had the energy or motivation to make them.  My sister's MIL made the cake and it came out beautiful!  And since we were doing Tinkerbell and Miss Carmen's Halloween costume was tinkerbell we put her in her tink costume for the party and she loved it!  How cute is she?!?!

We had to stop at the grocery store that morning and since it was her birthday I let her pick out a balloon...even though they had a Tinkerbell balloon, she saw this HUGE Minnie Mouse and had to have it instead! :)   We had several crafts for the 2 kids that came.  I cute out little paper crowns for them and they got to decorate them, as well as some other drawing activities.  I wish I had planned a couple more game type stuff but the 2 girls still had a lot of fun together!

Her daddy and I have been practicing her signing 2 for weeks now and just this past week she really got it!  She was so cute saying and putting up her 2 little fingers!

She got a lot of great presents, including the adopted Teddy Bear Genna she is sitting next to that was from her friend Miss Thea and the new apron her Aunt G made her!

That morning before her party, we hung out with her Grandma up in OH and she got to open her first present which was an awesome kitchen!  Carmen was so excited to both see her Grandma and to open the kitchen!  She had fun playing with it all weekend and I see this being one of her favorite toys.

I really enjoyed watching Carmen celebrate her birthday! She has grown so much in the last year and she is such a sweet loving 2 yr old!  Can't wait to see what this next year brings for her and watching her learn to be a big sister!  Love her and feel blessed that I get to be her momma!

Happy 2nd Birthday Carmen Grace!

2 years ago today, Carmen Grace decided it was time to join us!  She waited until 6:35 pm two days after her due date but she was/is perfect in every way!  I'm thankful every day that she chose us to be her parents!  When people talk about how having children changes you, you never know what they mean until you look into your babies eyes for the first time and know that from that moment on everything is different.  I could write a whole post about what I feel about that but today it's her birthday and we'll keep it short.

Today we will be off preparing for and then celebrating Carmen's 2nd birthday! I promise to share pictures but for now here is a slideshow of pictures I put together of some of my favorites from her first 2 years with us! Enjoy!

Birthday Weekend recap...

This past weekend was crazy!  Between my company holiday party and Carmen's first birthday, by Sunday I was spent!  I've been trying to get this post up since then and well...it's Wednesday night and I'm sure I won't have it post until Thursday...so I didn't quite get this up quickly.  Oh well. 

The holiday party went great!  It was so fun to spend time with my co-workers outside of work and the hotel room that the company got us was great!

Special K had too good of a time but I'm glad he had fun!  It was my first night away from little miss Carmen and as hard as it was not waking up to her noises, I know it was good for  us to go through with it.  She was home with her Auntie and I heard they had a great time.  This also helped smooth over our weaning but I'll talk about how weaning her went in a separate post.  The morning after the party, we slept in a bit and then stopped for breakfast on the way home.  Once we got home, I was go go go until we got to my FIL's house to start setting up. 

I was very happy with how the decorations I made looked and check out the balloon that the magician at the holiday party made!  He was pretty awesome.

Everyone seemed to have a great time....I won't talk too much but here are some pictures of the event!

I'm busy getting ready for Carmen's first birthday Party on Saturday!! Her birthday is Thursday and I just can't believe it's almost been a year...I'll talk more about that later.  I've got lots to do between now and then but wanted to share some pics of things I've done for the party.  Here is a sneak peak of the decorations for the party!
