I'm running a contest on my podcast but I figured I'd share the rules here so you can enter as well.
A couple ways to enter:
1. Comment here or the Barknknit Podcast Show notes about if you went to a local Stitch n Pitch or what you are knitting for summer.
2. Go register on my online community at www.Barknknit.com
3. Share my podcast and contest on your blog and you get another entry!!
Good luck and Happy Knitting!!
This is turning into the summer of sweaters (weird no?) scarves and cowls.
ReplyDeleteOk.... I am already registered on your website....I didnt go to a stitch and pitch though because I dont like base ball... football on the other hand... LOVE IT!... I posted a comment on my blog about the contest of course :-) :-) And my summer knitting.... finishing two pairs of socks and I am going to start the February Lady sweater :-)
ReplyDeleteIt totally stinks we do not have a stich and pitch. I wish we did. I live where the only lys is a quilting shop. I know it sucks. I love the online stuff though, it helps. I am posting you on my blog. Well you have been on my sidebar as soon as I started blogging.
ReplyDeleteWoo-Hoo for Stitch n Pitch!! I organized one for our local Minor League team this year...we had a BLAST! Finally have pictures of it up on the SnP website (look under Avalanche).
ReplyDeleteSince working so hard on losing weight this year I've been making lots of cotton tanks. My latest one is my favorite! Of course I say that about all of them. I was working on finishing it at our SnP last month!! I'm going to go register on your website and my next post will contain info about your contest!
Oh, how I wish I could go to a stitch 'n pitch...
ReplyDeleteKnitting? Socks. Shawls. Baby blankets. I have a couple of summerish tops in my queue I'd like to get to. Hats. More hats, for charity.
I registered in the community and I posted about the contest in my blog.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we don't have a local stitch n pitch event. But this summer I will be knitting a shawl to use as a nursing cover up (I'm due with my first baby in September) and a sweater as part of the knitting ravelympics that will start on August 8th.
Love the podcast!!
We don't have a stitch n pitch in my area.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to knit Seascape from knitty.com summer 08 issue.
My other project is a simple prayer shawl. Other than that I have no clue :-)
Last year I heard about Stitch -n- Pitch too late so I was really looking forward to this year's event. But as it turns out, my cousin's wedding what that same day two states away. I just couldn't miss out on the wedding and all the family fun that comes along with this clan. So far this summer I've worked mostly on socks but I'm hoping that by the end of summer (or maybe this fall) I'll attempt a lacy stole.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a local Stitch n Pitch, but I'd go to one if we did. I seem to be knitting mostly socks this summer.
ReplyDeleteI was unable to go to a Stitch n Pitch this year, but think it would be a ball. Would love an entry in your contest. This summer I'm working on a cotton baby blanket called Cables and Eyelet, and trying to finish the seaming on my Lizard Ridge afghan.
ReplyDeleteTake care!
P.S. Your dogs are so cute!
We don't have stitch and pitch here in Canada. I would go if I could. I am working on socks, a sweater for my daughter, and some felted bags this summer. So far.
ReplyDeleteI will be going to our Stitch and Pitch again this year. I think I may even take the day off so I can get there early. It's not until August though.
ReplyDeleteCame through Chan (KnitTea) - so give the girl a little extra love. I'm a podcast virgin - so this will have to do for now :) g
Ok... first I am knitting mostly dishcloths and socks this summer. Small projects for those hot and humid NY days.
ReplyDeleteI am now going to register and add your contest to my blogs sidebar.
I couldn't go to a stitch and pitch because I am pretty much housebound these days. But it won't be long before I am a human again,
Oh one question, when is the deadline to enter. I like to make sure that's on my side bar as well. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI went to our local minor league Stitch-n-Pitch organized by Robin (4th commenter here)! It was SO much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteAs for my summer knits, I'm knitting socks for Summer of Socks and finishing my Hourglass sweater (LMKG) for Tour de France KAL
Sadly, we did not have a stitch-n-pitch event, nor was there an official KIP Day so me and one other Ravelry person made our own!
ReplyDeleteI've recently gotten into knitting socks, and I'm hoping to finish my 2nd pair tonight *squee*
*goes to join your community now*
Well, I am planning to go to the White Sox stitch n pitch night IF my LYS gets enough knitters to rent a bus. :) I want to go! Does that get me an entry?
ReplyDeleteScore on the bags! I won't be going to the one here in town. All they are giving out is a visor. :-P
ReplyDeleteI am registered on your site! I'll post about the contest tonight.
Summer Knitting: hemlock ring blanket for Mark's HS best friend's wedding & finishing my hugely gigantic clapitos. And maybe, casting on a pair of socks.
I would have a hard time at a stitch and pitch because I am one of those crazy people who like to coach from the stands. What if I was looking at my knitting and missed a play? Couldn't live with myself! Besides that, I don't know if I can knit and drink beer without having to rip out everything I do!
ReplyDeleteThis summer is going to be dedicated to mastering lace for me. I have done 2 shawls and one scarf. Next will be one I made up!
No stitch 'n pitch for me...
ReplyDeleteKnitting a few pairs of socks, a couple felted bags & scarves (xmas gifts).
Love the wedding shawl and the podcast. Please enter me in the contest! Thanks, Wendy
ReplyDeleteHi --
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting registered; looking forward to being part of the group!
There were no Stitch and Pitch opportunities in our area, but I'm sending an email to our local Northwoods team (Rochester Honkers) to see if they would do it as a promotion next year.
I've been knitting baby hats, baby socks, baby sweaters, etc. all summer -- almost everyone I know is having or has had a baby.
But -- I'm going to take a break in August after the summer class I'm taking for my M.Ed. is over and participate in the "Sock Put" on Ravelry.
Loving the podcast and have enjoyed getting caught up on the back episodes.
Rats! Forgot to say...
ReplyDeletePlease enter me in the contest!
OK so I went to Stitch and Pitch here in Cleveland last year. It was a ton of fun. Tonight was this years, but it was my anniversary so I bowed out this year to hang out with hubby tonight!
ReplyDeleteAs for my knitting I just finished the Lotus Blossom Tank, and am trying to decide what to start next..another summery thing or something warmer for fall/winter!
hi there, our stitch n pitch is coming up and for the 3rd year in a row i am still looking for anyone to go with me! my grandfather would love to go but at 92 he is unable to sit still that long comfortably, but he would so love it, both the game and the ladies! knitting, many projects going, a few fall sweaters, a few tidbits, a bathmat, socks, smallish goodies! i linked back to you and did register as well!
ReplyDeleteI found you through WiKnit and I have to say that dogs and knitting are a couple of my favorite things, too! (I'm actually considering going back to veterinary school and will start prerequisite classes this fall.) I've never been to a stitch n pitch, though.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a local stitch and pitch, so my summer knitting in public is on my transit ride to work. It's lace all summer -- I'm addicted at the moment.
ReplyDeletei'm knitting another Montego Bay scarf in seasilk for a gift for a friend, and I'll soon be knitting a swallowtail lace shawl for me. it's supposed to be a wrap for a sleevless dress I have...hopefully I'll be able to wear them together this summer. The local semi-pro is supposed to have a stitch and pitch, but details haven't been announced.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that I am pregnant with my first... so I can't get enough of those little blankets, booties and cardigans!
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to a stitch and pitch this year, but I am knitting my first pair of socks, and learning to spin! (Both wheel and drop spindle.)
ReplyDeleteHey there! I'm registering for the site, and blogged your podcast and contest the other day! :-) Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of a stitch n pitch.
ReplyDeleteI am working on my first sock.
I'd like to enter your contest if it's not too late. This summer I am knitting socks as part of Summer of Socks 2008!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog; it's always a fun read.
I went to the Milwaukee Brewers Stitch 'n Pitch last week. Even though the Brewers lost, it was still really fun. It was my first Brewers game. The weather was amazing and everyone was really nice. I will defintely do it again sometime!
