Crochet at Knit Night Wednesday and Softball Thursday!

Last night was our weekly Fiber Fanatics meet up and I had a great time. I had not been in about a month and it was nice to see everyone. While I was there I worked on my friend's sweater some more and learned a new crochet stitch. The bottom is my single crochet practice and then the top next to the hook is my new skill...double crochet!
Sheryl brought my godson Levi and he was just so well behaved! He got a little fussy because he was hungry but for the most part he was a doll!
He's just TOO cute!! Look at that face!!
Sid brought me goodies!! She was at the bookstore and she saw these and since she knew I'm such a big fan she had to get me Edward and Jacob Skybars!! They are AWESOME! I think I laughed for about 5 minutes! She and Angela are not fans...they think Bella whines and Edward is a possessive stalker. :) They are half right but I STILL love him!!
Sid lent me this series about werewolves and it's awesome!! It's what I've been reading for a while. The series is written by Patricia Briggs. This particular series from her is called the Mercy Thompson novels and they are Moon Called, Blood Bound, Iron Kissed, and the book I'm reading now Bone Crossed. They are all really good! I've also read another one that Sid lent me called Cry Wolf and it's the first one in the Alpha and Omega series. It's with some of the characters from the other series in the same world. I love when writers do that! If you like werewolf/vampire books check out this series...even if you don't at least read Moon Called and give it a chance. She hooked me!

Well, tonight my family planned our second ever Family Softball Game. Everyone who wanted to and could played. We had a blast! My team won but mostly we all had good fun! Here's a pic of me up at bat!
Well...I hope you enjoyed this two post day! I'll try to come back sooner than I have been. I miss writing about my days and sharing pictures! I'm almost done with a couple projects so you'll get to see some FO pictures soon!

Happy Thursday! I'm off to bed to read and be glad tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!

Wedding Wednesday FINALLY!!!

Ok, so I promised you all an update on how bridesmaid dress shopping with my four of my sisters and my 2 nieces went. We got to the place around 7pm and the lady assigned to us sat me down and started asking me questions about the wedding and what I wanted the girls to wear. I quickly told her that anything they wanted in apple red. So, she pulled out the book and they picked a bunch they liked and told her their sizes. She picked one to start with and got all their sizes in that dress and set them up in dressing rooms. This process went suprizingly well and the lady helping was pretty good. Everyone tried on a bunch of dresses and some quickly decided on which they liked and didn't like. :)

After about an hour or so most had picked a dress but my oldest niece. They didn't really have any of the dresses their in her size that we had been trying on and she really wasn't sure how they would look in her size so she was having trouble picking a dress. We decided that she could look online again and call the other store and we would start checking out. Well, as we were checking out she saw a dress she thought was great even though it's long and decided to try it on. She did and she loved it. So, at the end everyone found a dress they liked. It was a fun experience but I was a bit stressed because I really wanted everyone to be happy with the dress they picked out. :) Afterwards we stopped and had dinner and enjoyed each other's company. I split a beer with my cousin who had come with us and that was a great half a beer and it was much needed!!

Ok...I'm sure you're wondering are we going to get to see what dresses they picked...well, of course!!

Here's the list of the four dresses that were picked. Several were picked by 2 people and one sister and Special K's sister still need to go and pick a dress but they don't live here.

Ok. Regina and Lucesita picked F12899
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=3319&prodgroup=110

Fleas and Surfer Girl picked 81591
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=3331&prodgroup=110

and CZbrats picked F12723
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=2986&prodgroup=110

and College Niece picked F12904
http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridesmaids_detail.jsp?stid=3318&prodgroup=110
and she is going to crop it. :)

Everything else is going really well. We still are looking at carterers but we've cut out of a few from the list so that is good. I still need to call about renting chairs for the ceremony. I did call my cousin's company and found out about ordering the cups, which are going to be used at the reception and people can take home with them. The cups will be 22 oz stadium cups half of them in red and half in blue with white writing. My sister is going to design it. She's also working on my invites so I'll be approving those soon.

I did order something fun!! I ordered a Cub's garter! It's the coolest. I ordered it from Garter's by Kristi. She has so many choices.
This is the link to the one I ordered with the throw away garter too. I love it!! Jackjack did get into the package and get a little bit into one of them but it's not that noticeable and come on...most things in my life have been touched by Jackjack. That is why he is rarely aloud around the stash and knitting. :) By the way, she has great service and is so very nice! If you are in the market for a garter please go check her out.

Well, hope you all enjoyed the wedding update. I'll try to keep them more regular. Things will be hectic closer to the wedding so should be fun!!

I had a long day today but am feeling good. I ended up making it to my Wed night SnB and it was tons of fun!! I got a bunch of knitting done and talking too! I'm off to bed to knit and sleep hopefully.

Happy Hump Day!

Knitting, Spinning, and catching up!! Pictures!

So...I have all these great pictures I've been meaning to post and fun things to talk about and I just haven't. Here's my catching up with you...my readers. :)

Wednesday night I went to Panera for the SnB. I had such a great time. First off we set up a swift and a ball winder so I could wind my yarn into balls. :) Thank you Sean and Sheryl for bringing those. We sure were a spectacle in Panera but not one person said anything to us...not even the manager. :)
Look at all those fun faces having a good time on Wednesday night. We had a great turn out and took up quite a few tables.
Something fun I learned this week was SPINNING!!! My friend Manda, who is on the far right in the picture above brought her drop spindle and a big bag of roving and let me learn to spin. She also let me take all of it home with me to practice. We love Manda!! So check me out...I'm SPINNING YARN!! Yeah!!
I never got around to taking pictures of my first two finish products but a picture of my yarn is coming. :)

This Saturday I met up with my friend Darci for some coffee and knitting. We went to a new coffee shop by the beach. I wish it was ON the beach but oh well. We had a great time. I retaught her to knit.Doesn't she look like she's having fun!! I actually brought out my drop spindle and some roving and spun yarn in the coffee shop. I'm a public spinner. heheh
Here's my 3rd attempt at spinning. I'm getting better. I also used this picture for my podcast pic. So...click the picture and it will take you over to Episode 5: Something New.
I had a great week last week. This weekend was fun and I got a lot of knitting done!! I have more pictures to share but will post in next post.

Happy Knitting and Spinning!!

Wedding Wednesday and STASH!!!!

I bought the YARN for my wedding shawl!! I'm very excited. Last night Sheryl and I met at Uncommon Threads in Palm Harbor. I love this yarn store. We stayed for their knitting night and everyone was so friendly. So, I picked di.Ve' Zenith in a white. It's 100% Extra Fine Merino Wool. It's so pretty!!
I also picked up a skein of Malabrigo for a hat for Surfer Girl. I'm pretty sure she doesn't read my blog so I'm safe in saying I'm surprising her with a new hat that will fit her. I already picked out the pattern but in case she reads this I won't tell you which one yet. I might cast this on tonight as well. I'm bad. :)The last thing I got was ROVING! I was watching Allison, who works there spin and I was fascinated!! I think I want to learn to spin now. This store is bad and good for me. After I was watching her I was fondling all their roving and I just had to have 2 oz. of this. It's Merino as well. I just want it to pet.

So, when I got home today I was greeted with a beautiful sight!! MY KNITPICKS ORDER!! Yeah!! This is perfect because I got my yarn last night and I have my Stitch n Bitch tonight. I can take it all with me and cast on at the Stitch n Bitch. HOW exciting!! Today has been a great day!!
So...that's all my fun stuff I got. I know it's not much about my wedding but the yarn is important and was a big decision. My sister finished the coasters and I believe sent them to me so as soon as I send those out and people start getting them I'll share what they look like. They are SO amazing!! She did a wonderful job. We are also finally meeting with my friend from our reception site this Sunday so I'll let you know next week what we decide.

I've been cooking since I got home so I'm exhausted and already need to head out to the SnB but I hope everyone is doing good.

HAPPY knitting!!!

Tagged, Podcast, and it's Knit Night!!

First off I got tagged by Chris, she said I'm too busy but I'm trying to prove her wrong by following it up. So here it goes.

The Rules--1. Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages. 2.Open the book to page 123 and find the 5th sentence. 3. Post the next 3 sentences. 4. Tag 5 people.

1. I have near me the only book I can find with sentences on the 123rd page. It's The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. I have not read this book but I have it in my desk to give away. :)
3. "It was the best thing that happened. I showed Leah where you could get into the alligator pear tree and she boosted me up. I could still climb just dandy with my other arm." Interesting. :)
4. I tag kbilicous, nh knitting mama, Goldentracks, Devin, and Andi.

Have fun guys!!

I recorded and uploaded a new podcast last night so if you get a chance check it out. I had a blast recording it. I'm still working on not editing a lot but I felt like I had to a couple times in this episode. Fun fun fun!!

Last thing is that it's Wednesday!! That means there is a SnB tonight! I'm excited because I haven't been since before my toe surgery.

And just so you know...I haven't forgotten Thankful Tuesday's or Wedding Wednesday...They are both coming along soon. I think my Tuesday's lately have been jam packed so I'm going to have to work on getting that post out on an actual Tuesday. :)

Happy Knitting!!!

Monday....and KIP pics.

It's Monday and after the weekend it's always hard to come back to school. Especially when the kids barely want to be here themselves. I had a good weekend and spent a lot of time knitting. I finished my Monkey sock and met up with Sheryl and some others from our SnB. Sheryl and I spent the 2 hours learning the magic cast on for toe up socks. It was fine after we figured it out but it was a process. :) I cast on both toe's and when I get a better picture I'll show them.

So...My class was practicing Photoshop today and I came across these pictures so I figured I'd share them with you. I love knitting so much I will take it anywhere with me. This was on a school field trip to Seaworld. This was right before I started my knitting group so it sparked their interest in the art form.

Well...hope everyone is having a great week. I'm mentally preparing myself for my toe surgery on Friday. Yes, I know I'm crazy...it's ok.

Happy Knitting!!

PS...I'm working on my next podcast. It should hopefully be up by next week. YEAH!!

My Monkeys are finished!!

My Monkeys are finished!! I finished them this afternoon and yes that's two days later than I'd hoped but oh well.

Start date: January 5, 2008
Finish date: February 2, 2008
Pattern used: Monkey by Cookie A.
Yarn: Dream in Color Smooshy in Lipstick Lava
Needles: US 2s Knitpicks circulars
Notes: I had a great time knitting this pattern and it’s definitely going to be knit again. I have plenty of yarn left over too…so I’ll have to figure out what to do with my left overs. I had hoped to get these done by Jan 31st but I messed up twice on the second sock and had to rip back about 10 rows both times. I’m glad they are done and fit great.

I picked this pattern for this month so I could participate in the January Sockdown for a the Sock Knitter's Anonymous group on Ravelry. This is the first time I've actually participated and I'm going to play again for next month. They usually give you a designer or a technique to try and you post up the info above. You have to cast on during the month and finish them by the end of the following month.

For February it's the designer Eunny Jang or any pattern that features a heel technique that is new/ unfamiliar to the knitter. I've decided to knit the Rainbow sock using the toe-up, magic loop method and I plan to knit them 2 at a time. I've never tried toe up heels so this counts for the requirements for February.

I'm meeting my fellow SnBers tomorrow for some pre-Superbowl knitting and Sheryl from Knit Happens and I are planning to learn the cast on for the toe up method. Wish us luck.

Well...I'm off to get in the shower and get ready for my friend's wedding tonight. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Happy Knitting.

Wedding Wednesday

So...we haven't been planning much lately. We are hoping to get the catering menu soon so we can go over what food and how much we are going to order to feed 150 people. That will give us a ballpark figure for the budget. (ballpark get it...hehehe) I'm excited to figure out what kind of food we are going to have. I know that wings will definitely be on the list. YUMMO.

My sister and I also spent time working out the Save the Dates. She sent me the design and I love it. I can't wait to see the finished coasters. They are going to be awesome. Now, I guess we have to finalize our guest list and get everyone's address. That's going to be fun. So, will doing the invitations.

My friend, Kelly-Bell is getting married this weekend and I'm excited for her. I've heard some of her plans but it's always different when you see it. I can't wait. She's my dog friend as I like to call her. We met at the dog park and she helped me train Jackjack. She has been a blessing in my life. She is also one of my friends who made me realize that I needed to date Special K. I resisted for a while. I'll have to tell you all that story sometime. Another tribute she gets is helping me decide to adopt Abby. :) I guess she's been a great adviser for me. Everything she's advised me on has been wonderful. I wish her and her fiance the best in her marriage. I couldn't be happier for two people.

Well...I haven't been feeling all that great today and I actually even left work a little early to come home. I think my allergies got the best of me. A little rest, some cuddling with my pups, food and a nice warm shower has me feeling much better. I'm planning on going to the SnB tonight but might not stay the whole time depending on how I feel. I really want to finish up my Monkey sock before Thursday at midnight. :) So...I need to definitively work on it while I'm there. I've already spent time picking out my next sock for February. I'm going to do a toe-up, magic loop, 2-at-a time. I think it will be fun to learn a new technique.

Thank you again for all the wonderful comments about my podcast. I'm really glad you have enjoyed my first episode. I will try not to disappoint on the next one. I think I might have a great interview too. I need to ask them before I make that a for sure.

Happy Knitting and Wedding planning too!!!

Catch up, Thankful Tuesday on Wednesday.

Ok....some catch up first. Most of you probably have seen Cass's #444 post contest. I was one of her winner's on her #333 contest and I loved the yarn she sent so go over and let her know I sent you and win some fun prizes. This time it's 4 winners. :)

So...a wonderful bloggy friend Rhonda from I'm Running to Win Too gave me a cute award:

Thank you Rhonda!! Since she has given me an award, for my Thankful Tuesday I'd like to pass on this award to a couple of blogs. If I had the time I would do my whole blog roll. Ok....this award goes to:

Paula from BassetKnitter. Who started Dogs on Thursday and you know I love dogs and love helping her with this site. :) Thank you Paula.

Devon from Evil Tuesday, who chats with me almost every day and is crazy right along with me. ;)

Nichole from Lapdog Creations, who shares my love of dogs and sends me fun doggie forwards to brighten my day.

Ally from Knittin' Baby, who found my blog and we started chatting and instantly became friends. Good luck with the haircut!! :)

Courtney from Confessions of a Knitter, has a great taste in sock patterns and Podcasts. She's become a fast friend recently.

Bea from Baa Baa Blacksheep, who also has some pretty cute puppies. ;)

And last but not least CynicalGal from Cynical Knitting Gal, who always has great comments and she has the cutest puppy Gracie who needs lots of loving right now.

I know there are tons of you out there who I would like to give this award to...so if you're reading this assume that I'm giving this award to you too. :) I feel like I'm missing people. I even decided not to include all my folks from my SnB who deserve this award too...So...if you are from my SnB include yourself too. :)

Ok...so...there's my Thankful Tuesday post a day late. Yesterday was pretty busy for me and I just didn't feel like posting. I sat down and thought about it but just ended up not posting. :)

Monday was a weird day too. Some of the girls for the SnB got together and knit for a couple hours it was fun. The rest of the day was just weird. Our Christmas Tree finally came down...I am thankful that it was a fake tree. :)

Thank you for all the supportive comments. My mood is getting better. I think there is just a lot on my plate and I have to keep reminding me of all the positives and not dwell on the negatives. I'll be out of town for a couple days at a conference with some of my sister's so should be fun.

Have a great day. I'll try to get up the Wedding Wednesday post today. :)

Happy Knitting!!

Wedding Wednesday

This week is a little bit about our wedding and a little bit about our future marriage. And yes, I do think they are different yet connected. :) So...wedding wise we are still figuring out how many people to invite. We are stuck at somewhere between 150 and 200. Our original guest list was 200 but last night Special K mentioned he only wants us to mail out 150. The only response to that I had at that time was "who are we going to cut?" I don't want to cut anyone but I know that I'm being unreasonable if I think that. So....I'll have to look at the list and make some people part of a list B so if we don't get RSVPs we can add some more. I think that is a compromise.

Another wedding related item I'm working on is figuring out what yarn and color I want to make my wedding shawl. I've already decided that I'm making the Summer Shawlette now I need to figure out what yarn I want. My wedding dress is diamond white so off white or cream I don't think would work. I'd love to make it out of malabrigo but I don't know what color. My friend recommended cashmere but I've never worked with it either so trying to figure out which brand to use. Recommendations would be great here. :)

We have also been discussing our plans for after we are married. With all this health care talk we are researching how much it would be to put me on his health care plan. How much would his company cover for me and if his plan is better than mine. My company does not cover too much but does cover some but we have a HORRIBLE plan. Most the teachers at my school have husbands who are the bread winners and who they get their health care from. The rest of us take what we can get and we choose the plan that won't cost us the most. Which in turns means a huge deductible and horrible coverage. So...hopefully Special K's plan is better and I can get on his. We'll see.

The second thing we discussed was bank accounts. We already decided we will have a joint bank account but now it's deciding whose bank we are going to have this account in. Naturally he wants his bank and I want my credit union. I think our compromise here might be getting one from a completely separate bank. Any suggestions on banks would be great. We are going to set up a savings account soon for our wedding savings.

Ok...hope everyone is having a great week. It was so nice taking Monday off and spending most of it with Special K.

I'm excited about tonights SnB too!! I am almost done with my first Monkey sock so that is exciting!! I just need to graft the toe and cast on for the second one. I'll take a picture and share it with you when it's done.

Happy Knitting

Dogs on Thursday, toe update, SnB.

For todays Dogs on Thursday I wanted to share my napping puppies. They had gotten baths and Special K decided to cover them up because Jackjack was cold. He's such a big sucker. They sure are cute. :)

Jackjack tends to act funny during the cold weather but he's been really funny lately. He gets excited about almost anything it's so cute. :) Abby is still itchy but we are saving up for her to go to a specialist for her allergies. It may take us a bit but I think Special K and I both feel bad that she's itchy.

I almost forgot!! I mentioned to Nichole from Lapdogcreations about my escape artist Jackjack. I actually have video of him getting out. I used to have him on a webcam when I worked at an animation studio. All my friends at work would watch him on it all day. :) It was funny. I even made him his own website www.jackjackinthebox.com. But I thought I'd share the video of him escaping one day. I had to get a new crate and re-enforce it after this. He is no longer crated because of an incident where he broke the crate and pierced his tongue. That was the day it was put away. It kind of sounds like he wasn't crate trained but he was. He just was better when he had a routine and when it got disrupted is when things would happen. The piercing happened when my roommate was taking care of him. Jackjack also spent more than 2 months in the SPCA before I got him and is not a fan of being confined.

The video is kind of long but you can really see him thinking. :) Well...hope you enjoy the video.

Well...a quick update on my toe. The doctor didn't have the x-rays so he said he'd look at them this afternoon when he went over to the hospital but he said from the review of them he got that we might need to remove it (the bone chip). He spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what he could do now and I ended up leaving with some cushiony thing around my toe. It hurt at first but then felt really nice. I'll spare you the pictures of my un-manicured toes. :) I won't find out for sure what he plans to do until my apt next Thursday so I'll let you know.

Last nights SnB was so much fun. We had about 7 people and everyone seemed to have a great time. :) I worked on my Monkey sock but didn't get too much done because I was kind of tired.

I'm going to head to another Knit night tonight at Needles and Knobs. Since I've decided to take the season off from softball, I can skip the practice today. I'm kind of sad that I won't be playing but have been for almost two years so a break will be nice. I wish it was a choice and not because of my toe though. Oh well.

Well...hope everyone is doing well. Happy Dogs on Thursdays!!

PS...Paula and I are going to try to come up with a great spring activity for the DOT group!!

Christmas Decorations, Dogs on Thursday, and Backyard Fun...

Please keep Sharimom, Special K's mother in your prayers. Her father's funeral was today and I know it's not an easy day for Special K's family. Also..Happy Birthday to Sharimom as well. Her birthday was yesterday.

I promised Sharimom pictures of our house a LONG time ago. So...finally here they are.

Our lights outside.

Our pretty Christmas Tree!! We got a fake tree this year from Special K's boss. I miss the pine scent but I love my tree. The crucifix that is hanging next to the tree was my grandmother's and has been in our family for a long time. She passed it down to my father and I asked him for it and thankfully he gave it to me. I've never been too fond of crucifixes but this one has a lot of meaning.

Dogs on Thursday post is a BIG thank you to my DOT Ornament Swap Pal, Vivian. She did a great job on my package. She sent Jack and Abby toys and treats. This picture was great but notice they won't even look at the treats because they were told to leave it. :) I'm actually pretty proud of both of them for not stealing it early.
I was really proud of these pictures too. They sat there until I was done taking the pictures and then when I said "ok." They looked at me like are you sure and then both separated and chowed down.

Again Thank you so much Vivian....from Jackjack and Abigail.

Last but not least our weekend outdoor fun... our sod....And yes, we laid sod in December....only in Florida can you do that. :) Special K's dad, Coach Dad, promised it should turn green in a week if we water it every day. I've been diligently watering and hoping to come home to green where our sand pit used to be.

Also we have this shed in our backyard that holds our washer and dryer and it must be the oldest shed that was not put together well. The door has been driving Special K and I crazy for months. This weekend Special K, as I was laying the sod, decided to rehang the door and replace the latch so it will stay closed. Kind of a bad picture but the latch totally works and is great!!! GO Special K and his handy work!!!

Well, I hope everyone is having a great holiday season. Today was technically my last day at work but since I'm saving up to pay for the rest of my dress I decided to work extra-care at school for the break so I can make some extra money. That means I'll be back here really early tomorrow to take care of the elementary school kids...and a couple times over the break. I don't mind extra-care on most day so we'll see. I'm going to bring my knitting so I can finish up on my Christmas knits.

Happy Knitting/Dogs on Thursday!!!

PS....Our St. Pete Stitch n Bitch is going great. We had so much fun last night. I organized a small holiday gift exchange and it went well. I'm so glad I started this group and have met such great people!!!

(New) Wedding Wednesdays

Ok...here's what I've decided. The inevitable is that I will be posting about my wedding plans. I won't be able to help it....so...Wednesdays here at Barknknit are going to be Wedding Wednesdays. I even made a button to link to all the wedding posts on my blog if you want to catch up. ;) If you noticed I put this button on the side bar up on Monday!!

Well...As I mentioned, so far we have the Pastor, Church, theme/color, tentative date and wedding party. Things I'm working on are the budget and reception site, which will finalize the date. I have three appointments next week to check out Reception Locations. I'm not really sure any will work but I'm in the I want to see it all stage. :) I'm still searching to the right site which fits our budget, guest list, and style. (not an easy task)

I am having a little trouble already with the bridesmaids. I am the baby of 5 girls and then my step-sister. I have decided that I want my 5 sisters, 2 nieces, and Special K's sister to be my bridesmaids. Yes, that is a lot but it's important to me. I know that the 3 oldest sisters, who all have kids, really don't want to be a part of the bridal party. They think they are too old and would rather play the mom role. As nice as that sounds, it's important for me to include them in the bridal party. I know that in the next year this issue will be discussed over and over until I finally have them buy their dresses. I did already decided that I'm going to pick a designer and assign them alternating colors and let them choose what they want their dress to look like. I'm not sure if I'm just being difficult or why I really want this but it's just something that I've always wanted. (I'm not trying to torture them as they believe) I guess I'll just have to let them know that it's important to me.

Well...I might be trying on wedding dresses on Saturday too. I know a little early but my friend has to go to Tampa to get measured for a bridesmaid dress for her friends wedding so I figured might as well go with her. Should be fun. I've always had an idea of what I want mine to look like. :) Hopefully one that goes with the cute shawl I plan to knit. :)

Oh, by the way our theme is a Chicago Cubs theme, which makes our colors red and blue and a baseball theme. My sister over at byvikink.com is designing our invitations and save the dates. And I'd like to say a big thank you for those who have stopped by her etsy shop. The link is still up in the sidebar.

Blog Info...I'm sorry to those I haven't responded to your comments or those I've read your blog and not commented. I usually am much better about this but lately I've been busy and just haven't had time to comment or respond. I appreciate all the comments that are left though. I always love to leave comments on others blogs as well but lately I feel I don't even have time to even read my favorite blogs, let alone comment on all the ones I'd like. I've managed to read them anyway. I'm hoping to get back to commenting and responding soon.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season. :) I love Christmas time.

PS...remember it's also St. Pete Stitch n Bitch night!! ;)

Dogs on Thursday and Start of the St. Pete Wednesday night Stitich n Bitch!!!

Dogs on Thursday!!

I'm the "guest" blogger over at Dogs on Thursday for a couple weeks so please go over and check out my Doggie Spotlight on Jackjack and Abigail Grace. :)

I will try to keep wedding planning info to a minimum on my blog but I guess I should warn you that you will get some of it. So far I just wanted to share that I already found the shawl I'd like to knit for my big day. It's called the Summer Shawlette and Carrieoke made one for her wedding and I loved it. Other than that the only decisions that have been made are church, pastor, whose in the bridal party and the date. I'm making a list of places to have the reception at and hopefully going to check them out with Special K soon.

On more Knitting News, Last night was the first ever St. Pete Stitch n Bitch at Panera Bread near Tyrone Square. We are planning to meet every Wednesday nights. By we, I mean I'll be there when people come that's great...hopefully we will get a group going. The only woman who showed up last night was Manda from mandalinn. We had been talking for a while and trying to meet up. It was great to finally meet her. You should check out her etsy shop(Mandalinn Knits & Spins) too. We sat and knit/talked for two hours and had a blast. If you live in the area...PLEASE stop by on wed. from 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Happy Knitting!!
