Ready for the weekend!

Yesterday was not a great day. It started out with finding out that I do need surgery and it's scheduled for Feb 8th. It's not a huge deal but for some reason when I saw the x-rays and he started telling me I needed a surgery...all I could do was start to cry. After I finished with the doctor and scheduled the surgery and was walking to the parking lot I noticed this blue car had it's window broken out. I quickly turned around and headed back in to tell the receptionists and the lady standing at the counter was like I have a blue car. They all came out and she noticed that her purse which was on the front seat was gone. She held it together pretty well while I was there but the police were called. The rest of my day was kind of a blur of trying to stay calm about stuff. The evening was not great either and I don't really want to talk about it...but I have an emotional hangover from last night.

Today has started out OK but I'm not in the greatest mood so I'll spare you the melodramatics.

I am just going to share a contest with you over at Stitch Bitch. She is asking for your Fiber Fantasy. Mine right now because of all this craziness in my life would really be to be able to have a yarn shopping spree....I'd buy the yarn and needles for my wedding shawl and TONS of sock yarn!! Pretty colors and soft superwash merino wool. It's not going to happen so I just have to keep it in my Fantasies for now.

Well..hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a brighter post. I swear I'm usually not so crazy and depressing.

  2. That sounds like a horrible day, I hope today is better for you.

The car incident is a good reminder to never leave anything of value visible, especially in parking lots, garages, etc.

  3. Oh no! Best to you with the surgery. Just hang in there and think positively -- it's the law of attraction. (You heard of The Secret?) Think good thoughts and good things will come your way. I hope you enjoy your weekend...

  7. Sorry to hear abut your upcoming surgery and all! Hope the long weekend will help turn things around a bit.

On the bright side, we got your package yesterday! The dogs are very excited about the treats and Bucky is hogging the toy. I'll snap some pictures when I can.

  8. Sorry you're having a bad, but cheer up, the weekend is here! Maybe you can try hugging the pups and watching a really funny movie, perhaps with a few cocktails. Either way, I hope you're feeling better soon.

  11. I have been in and out of hospital all month and as I am fairly young and normally a very healthy person it has been very difficult. My advice: let other people help you when you need it and accept that you might not be yourself for a while. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

  12. Hugs to you. Life is that way sometimes, how would we know the good times if not for days like these? Hope it's something that can worked though and put to rest so you can cheer up again.

  13. Rotten things seem to come in groups and clusters, don't they? That sucks. But they're usually followed by goodness, so that's to look forward to.

    Thinking good thoughts for you...
