Cookies, yarn, and ravelympic fiber!

Lately work has been pretty crazy and have been staying late every night so that has cut into my free time. It also has been stressing me out so most nights I've just been wanting to veg out. Because my husband is just fantastic he's been picking up my slack. One of the things he did for me was baking homemade cookies and they turned out better than mine!! God love Special K!!

Since I hadn't been in a couple weeks, I decided to go to the Fiber Fanatics meet up at panera last night. It was great catching up with friends. My friend Barbara, who I helped with a sweater she eventually frogged, brought me some yarn that she bought me in Barcelona! It's so beautiful!

I think I'm going to knit a scarf for myself out of it. The color is fantastic and I think it's a silk blend.

For those who don't know, there is a group on Ravelry that does a KAL during the olympics called The Ravelympics. I am part if two groups. One is for my podcast called Team Barknknit and the one for all the podcaster called Team Sasquatch. They have all kinds of events that you can participate in. If you are on rav cone join the fun and my group!

The goals are to cast on during the opening ceremonies and finish by the closing ceremonies. My plan this year is to spin up sock yarn and knit up a pair of socks during the games. If I only get the yarn done i'll be happy but I hope I can do it all!

I started training by splitting up the pencil roving into three bits. It's all ready for the start of the Ravelympics!

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend!! I am looking forward to it!!

Happy spinning!!
