I'm doing OK. Groggy from the anesthesia but I'm doing good. The surgery took a lot longer than the 30 minutes they had said it would take. Special K was there the whole time and only worried a little at the end. It went well but I guess the chip was in a couple pieces. Special K is getting me food and pain medication. I'm heading back to relax in bed with my foot up. I just wanted to let you all know that I'm doing good.
Thank you all for participating in my contest. If you haven't joined in the fun please scroll down and comment. When I'm feeling more awake this weekend I'll put together a prize.
Also there's a new episode of BarknKnit podcast. :) Check it out. I recorded it last night.
Happy Knitting.

Hi! I am delurking after about 2 months of reading your blog to share the foot surgery empathy. My feet have had 6 surgeries over the years, and my experience is this: ICE IS YOUR FRIEND. It only hurts for 15 seconds or so, then the surgical pain starts to fade away. And walk on it when the Dr. says you can--that actually helps it to heal without a lump of scar tissue. Good luck in your convalescence and enjoy your extra knitting time!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great guy you have there! Rest, food, meds and knitting= a speedy recovery.
