Happy Leap Day!! I got the idea from Lapdogcreations to put up pictures of my pups leaping but I could not find stoic Jackjack leaping. I guess he is not a dog to leap. ;) So, here's Abigail and her silliness.
I wanted to share an email my father sent out to my family. He is a funny one.
"The new generation doesn't understand me. No wonder I can´t communicate. I was talking with Natalie and told her I had to go to eat dinner. She said No, Its Lunch time. Then I realized, times have changed. Today in my house, as well as back on the Plains in Oklahoma. We only eat breakfast, dinner and supper. I have failed to educate my own kids. But I love then all anyway. DAD"
Happy Leap Day!!
Thanks for the encouragement with my sock! I plan to buy a bottle of wine tonight and sit and rip and start knitting it back up. I think the wine will help with the ripping more than the knitting.
lol, you're Dad is funny... that reminds me of something Matt's Dad would write!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad my leaping caught on... it took me some time to find all those pics too, lol
Up here in Canada (at least my little spot) we have breakfast, lunch and dinner/supper. It's funny how language works.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your socks!
Happy leap day to you too! In China lunch is the main meal of the day, took me awhile to adjust to a big dinner after I arrived in US.
ReplyDeleteIf you get all technical and proper, Dad's right :) My family calls the mid-day meal "dinner" but I usually call it lunch so everyone knows what I"m talking about.
ReplyDeleteI always call my evening meal "supper" and it makes Al crazy!
Great photo of Abby! Wine will help with the frogging for sure, not so much the knitting, in my experience.
ReplyDeleteI refer to the mid day meal exclusively as lunch and the evening meal is either supper or dinner. But my grandparents had breakfast, dinner and supper.
ReplyDeleteCute idea. My Aunt got a free dinner at Mortons steakhourse for her 18th birthday on Leap day(72 years really) So it is a big day for my famliy! Enjoy the wine, it may dull the sadness of watching the sock get frogged:(
ReplyDeleteGnat, be sure to thank your dad for the laugh he gave to all of us. That is so funny! Good luck with the sock frogging. I'd have to have some wine at my side.
